The “East-West Bridge ? Intangible Cultural Heritage Fair” was held in Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District, SIP on Apr 8, offering Chinese and international students from universities and colleges in the district a chance to experience the charm and essence of traditional Chinese culture.

The event incorporated handicraft workshops, food, art performances, and an intangible cultural heritage class on Taohuawu woodcut prints integrated with AI-assisted designs.

Classical dances, folk music and ancient-style popular songs were staged, highlighting Chinese aesthetics.

In the interaction zone, the participants could try their hands at incense making, tea ceremony, guzheng (a traditional Chinese musical instrument) playing, beading, clay sculpturing, and painting.

According to the authorities of Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District, more events of similar kind will be held in the future to create an internationalized, inclusive cultural environment featuring open communication and mutual learning.
