Jointly organized by the Administrative Committee of Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District and SIP Economic Development Committee, an event was held at XJTLU (Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University) Wisdom Lake Academy of Pharmacy on June 11, aimed at promoting deep integration of industry-university-research collaboration and collaborative innovation.

The event brought together representatives from XJTLU, Soochow University, Suzhou Institute for Advanced Research of the University of Science and Technology of China, and Suzhou Institute of Systems Medicine, as well as those from 11 industry-leading and key enterprises located in SIP’s four functional zones.

The participants first visited XJTLU’s new life science building, and then learned details about the development of the universities and institutes mentioned above and  SIP’s Wisdom Lake 50L (Lab) 100E (Experiment) program, which is aimed at encouraging establishment of collaborative research laboratories between schools and enterprises and promoting university technology commercialization.

In the later symposium, several biotech companies expressed expectations for cooperation with universities and research institutes in talent cultivation, technology research, and innovative platform building, while others shared experience in such cooperation and provided constructive suggestions for a number of research projects. The participating authorities, universities and institutes responded to companies’ needs and inquiries.
