The First Future Media Art Festival of Suzhou Jinji Lake themed “Voyage of Light”, which was held at SIP’s Jinji Lake Art Museum from July to December last year, was selected as one of 20 excellent exhibitions of 2025 by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China after the recent evaluation. Jinji Lake Art Museum is the only district-level art museum with a project on the list.

The project was the country’s first large-scale academic exhibition focused on art practice in the digital era. It brought together 43 graduation creations from 12 art schools, delineating a realistic critical path of experimental art within the tension between technological frenzy and humanistic reflection.

Notably, the art festival was paired with a series of immersive, interactive activities such as AI-powered photo restoration for residents and handicraft workshops, guiding participants to understand the technical logics behind art creations.
